Im based in the uk and i used a company called freelancer.com who apparently are supposed to be the best company. I have to disagree, as the website is constantly outbided by indian workers and the price becomes ridiculouse to match. You might think that this is good for the person looking for workers but really is it? Your going to get what you paid for and judging by the reviews you normally do get poor quality.

Anyways i’ve joined with elance and although there fees are a little high, the projects seem to be paying a little more and there seems to be alot more work so lets see what happens. Thanks for the list by the way ill be sure to check the others out.

Can you recommend the website to use as a worker from the UK? I dont want to be paid penuts but i will offer a reasonable price for the quality that i provide.

GetACoder : This site is a fraud. I had 2 projects, and once i put some escrow payment (550$) they closed my account for made up reasons, and kept the money. This website provide 3 phone numbers for customer service which are just there to make you feel more trustful, but you only get their answering machine.
Don t waste your time here, it s a SCAM !

I used Elance, Guru and oDesk in passed. Good sites for what any type of work.
I would like to recommend another site for freelance jobs.

It allows you to post your services at fixed rate and offers bunch of other tools.

Thanks for your reviews. Elance is great, but usually for higher budget projects and proffered to companies. I prefer getafreelancer for individuals most. I also work there. Having great fun working there.

I’ve tried using a lot of the sites before, but have started using a new site a couple months ago – http://www.mymuto.com. Its free, easy to use, and haven’t had any issues with the site or people.
